For laser soldering, it is extremely important to control the laser output. This decisive output control is performed by the controller. At the same time, the generator is connected to the LD laser with an optical fiber, and the laser energy is transmitted to the head through the optical fiber.

ULD-02(75W) consists of a controller (control part), a generator part and a driver.
The laser device complies with the International Elecrotechnical Commission IEC60825-1:2007 standard, and also complies with the Japan Industrial Standard JIS 6802:2011. The laser class is 4. Approved by FDA for export to the United States.

The difference between laser and soldering iron soldering

What is the difference between laser soldering with hot surface and "heat transfer" soldering iron soldering?

The soldering process is divided into three basic steps: "preheating" the soldering part of the soldering iron, "heating" when supplying solder, and "post-heating" when forming after supplying solder. Although the basic process of soldering iron soldering and laser soldering is the same, the method of providing heated solder is different. It is crucial to understand this.

Soldering iron soldering heats the irradiated part through soldering iron heat transfer and laser soldering. If the temperature of the soldering iron tip is not enough during soldering with a soldering iron, you can use a laser that can be irradiated at a fixed point to increase its temperature. However, since continuous irradiation may cause the temperature of the soldering iron tip to be too high, attention should be paid to the adjustment of irradiation intensity and time.

The constitutional state of solder changes according to rising and falling temperature conditions, and it is difficult to achieve sufficient strength and reliability of soldering unless soldering is performed under appropriate temperature conditions.
Soldering at the right temperature, the internal structure of the solder hardly changes from that before heating. If it is overheated, its internal structure will change, reducing its strength and reliability. Moreover, the flux will also change the flow direction due to temperature. When heated at an appropriate temperature, the flux will flow to the soldering part first, and remove the surrounding oxides and dirt, so that the solder can be better bonded. If heated too much, the solder will stop the flow of the pre-flowing flux. In addition, excessive heating will damage the substrate and cause many problems that cannot be judged by naked eyes, such as internal cracks in the substrate.
